Nahtam is derived from an Arabic word which means "We Care" in English. Nahtam Social Responsibility has been set up in the UAE to address the evolving social needs of UAE citizens, UAE residents and the poorest communities around the world. It is a private voluntary organization, driven by 3 committed individuals, namely Ebrahim Al Haddar, a UAE national, Isabelle Le Bon-Poonoosamy, a Mauritian national and George V. Itty, an Indian national.

Nahtam promotes and initiates social programs involving Education, Environment, Art, Culture and Heritage, Health and Civic issues. Through awareness campaigns, networking, training and cultural shows, Nahtam’s focus is to improve the wellbeing of the community at large.
